So we’re in the polar vortex and believe me it’s more than just the cold temperatures, snow, and ice; our reality – world is spinning in a vortex. How we choose to approach it is up to us individually. When you retire hopefully to a warm home at the end of the day or on weekends; how about using these cold days to delve into a period of mindfulness; assessing and/or discovering who you are; where you are in life; who you want to become; what actions you are taking to become what you desire. It’s a great time to plan and develop strategies for work, business and personal life; and it’s a time to rest and ready yourself for the work you must do to manifest your reality. Decide how you want to live, the mindset you desire, and prepare yourself to do the work. Yes, it does take constant work, practice, study, commitment, focus, intention, attention and expectation. You do not have to be part of the insanity swirling in the vortex; just be mindful of what is happening and choose how you will navigate your way through the midst of the storm while not becoming part of the storm. Keeping a positive attitude; being the light in the storm is infectious. You can make a positive difference throughout your sphere of influence.
My friend Mahazie Roundtree shared a wonderful quote which I hope will help you with a mindset shift.
Quote of the Week : “Viewing events and situations in a positive light is important. The strength, wisdom and cheerfulness that accompany such an attitude lead to happiness. To regard everything in a positive light or with a spirit of goodwill, however, does not mean being foolishly gullible and allowing people to take advantage of our good nature. It means having the wisdom and perception to actually move things in a positive direction by seeing things in their best light, while all the time keeping our eyes firmly focused on reality.” Daisaku Ikeda, Buddhist Philosopher, Peace Builder, honorary President of the Soka Gakkai International (SGI), Founder of Global Educational, Research and Cultural Institutions and My Mentor!!
