I find it amazing how much emphasis is placed on the outer body. So many people rushing to purchase the newest product to look younger, slimmer, shinier, feel softer, smoother; you know the deal. Yet, there are many programs on TV, advertising, etc. that focus on the wholistic approach to attaining what people are looking for through the quick fix products.
We must work on the inside; mind and body. (Note keyword is WORK and yes the work is ongoing, it doesn’t end). What are we eating? What supplements are we taking? What oils are we using (inside and outside)? What are we feeding our minds? Everything begins with the thought, therefore what are we thinking? What are we speaking? What are the words we are using? What products are we using on and taking into our bodies? What medications are we taking and what are their effects? Are we conscious of everything that is happening on the inside and outside of our personal being? Are we ignoring the signs that there is something amiss with our physical or mental being and not taking action to address the issue? Are we loving ourselves?
The lessons learned, the practice, the GRIT muscle and personal growth development; and the power that we find which was always within us are the most exciting parts of our journey towards goal attainment. Anyone ever feel the let down once you achieve the goal? Celebrate the journey and quickly start the new journey. There is always a new goal to work towards.
How can one confess to loving God and not love themselves. It stands to reason, how can one love another person until they have learned to love themselves first. We demonstrate our own self love through our actions. Saying it is not enough; it’s what you are doing on a consistent basis. Believe me, the evidence of your self love shows up in your walk, talk, looks, smile, skin, words, confidence, thoughts and actions.
